I think you're right of course to point out Technocrats as an outwardly focused group, and they are more likely to care about other supernatural groups (and be hostile!). Technocrats might also weigh financial cost or other societal costs if they eliminate a well-connected vampire, for instance (harm to the economy, loss of jobs, etc.). So Technocrats might not care to go on extermination sprees if the cost will be high. They in a sense are the underdog fighting against all the terrible nightmares that want to eat and/or enslave humanity. Technocrats have observed vampires and werewolves policing their own, which saves Technocrats' resources.Īlthough Technocrats appear to be an unstoppable monolith to the Traditions, the Technocrats are arrayed against basically everything non-human in the World of Darkness. With that in mind, Technocrats will help cover up Masquerade breaches if vampires can't effect the cover-up themselves. To sidebar on this, Technocrats likely believe shaping and maintaining the Consensus (because this is truly humanity's best and largest shield against the supernatural) is most important, followed by preserving individual human lives (though whether life preservation is a clear second priority or perhaps a somewhat lower priority might depend on the Technocrat). Technocrats would seek stability in their area of control, so supernaturals that disrupt that would draw their ire.
